Week 2- MBA 6101- Google Marketing Website

Image
I have never made my own website before; I mean unless you count having a Xanga way back when. I never had the desire/ I thought it would be way too hard and way too much work. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I used google sites to create my webpage which is catered to anyone who needs help with resumes, interview prep, etc. You can view my webpage  here  if you would like. I think that being in a marketing class and being able to have the skills to make a quick and easy website could be helpful. Its an easy way to get the services you are providing out there, its all in one place, it’s easily accessible and doesn’t cost a lot which was talked about in Guerrilla Marketing. Its also easy for people to talk about your website via word of mouth if they enjoyed your services. Although, I am not the most tech savvy person around, I found it easy to navigate the google site and create what I think is a decent attempt at my first website. It will definitely come in hand...

Week 2-MBA 6101- Target your audience

Jay Conrad Levinson used the phrase for the first time in his 1984 book Guerrilla Marketing. Its objective is to generate interest in a product or brand to make it more likely that a customer would buy it or recommend it to other potential customers. Some of the things that small businesses/entrepreneurs should focus on should be ·          Quality goods ·          Using different sales tactics to your advantage: word of mouth, internet, samples, etc. ·          Problem solving ·          Target your product or service to save people time., after all they say time is money. ·          Precise and direct wording: simple/straight to the point In Guerilla Marketing, they state there are 7 things that you should not do and if you are, you must reevaluate you marketing strategy to be...

Week 1 - MBA 6101 –ChatGPT vs Google search

Image
With the advancement of AI, I didn’t even think that there would be something like ChatGPT, why, I have no idea. Before this class I was unaware of ChatGPT, I typically always used google to find the answers to any burning questions I had. I asked both google and Chat GPT the same question and got varying answers, of course but in this instance asking both which major issue the city of Atlanta should address ChatGPT gave a very easy answer whereas google I have to search articles which is what I am used to doing. I think it could be used a good tool and a good starting point and can be used to generate ideas and then research on them further.   Being my first-time hearing about and exploring this tool, I found it to be useful and I was surprised at how fast the bot responded to my inquiries. I think I will use this tool again in the future, but I will also ask more specific questions and see what the responses are like. It is quite enjoyable to have sure a vast array of ...

Week 1 - MBA 6101 – The Impact and implications of AI

Image
While reading chapter 1 of Surfing the Tsunami and reading about robots my first thought was the cartoon the Jetsons, where they had Rosie the robot to help around the house and their flying cars. Although we don’t have the flying cars…yet we do have “robots” to help with things around the house. I for one am grateful to have my Roomba so that I don’t have to vacuum my own floors anymore. It makes it easier to spend time doing other things knowing that, that specific chore will be taken care of.   I can still remember when computers were these big bulky machines, but they were all the rage, with AOL and dial up internet then the shift to more sleek modern looking computers connected to Wi-Fi. It makes me think of how far we have come and the concern of the year 2000, where everyone thought, the computers would interpret 00 as 1900 instead of 2000 but look how far we have come.   In today’s world most things have been more geared toward AI and automation. For exa...
