Week 8--MBA 6101- Digital Marketing

Image
I looked over the top skills to get people hired on linked in 2021 and 2021 they top 5 were slightly different but the one that remained on both was digital marketing. 2021: Software development, project management, data analysis, digital marketing, and product management 2022: AI, cyber security, cloud computing, digital marketing, and software development. As I have learned throughout this class things are going more and more AI related and more electronic and if I want to stay relevant and continue to have a career, I need to follow the times. I am in healthcare which has also been pretty secure because people are always getting sick and needing care it would still be smart for me to learn additional skills to make myself not only more marketable but relevant. It is important to be able to use the skills of digital marketing for products, services, or just to even promote yourself and your own skills. Being able to use social media, search engines, email, and mobile ap...

Week 8-MBA 6101-Listening to the consumer

Image
The chapter on research and consumer feedback in week 8 of Guerilla Marketing covers a very important step in marketing that, in the end, will determine if a product or business is successful. Listening to consumers can be paramount in ones success, the consumer will let you know what they want and you can listen to the masses or try and change a good thing which sometimes may have a very negative affect. A good example they used was when Coca Cola introduces new coke without getting feed back from they consumers first and saw it fail, I believe the word the marking officer used was miserably. They say this after they had already introduced it and had to pull the plug, go back, and get consumer feedback which they used and began to make a profit again. What that tells me if that you can just assume you know your market, you actually had to talk to the consumers to see what it is they may or may not want before making such a big move and hoping that it works. In marketing the ...

Week 7--MBA 6101--Coming to an end

Image
As the class is coming to a close, I shared my ad campaign with friends as well as my blog and received good feedback, they were surprised at how cheap it was to put an ad on google! They also said that it was impressive that for that little price and the ease of things what a good idea it would be for them to do the same as some of them have small businesses/do hair and make up on the side of their full time job. I was never really interested in marketing before this class, I would just watch commercials, ads, etc. and go about my day but the profound impact it actually has is astounding to me now! It is the bread and butter of some companies, being able to pull people in in the masses could quite literally change the life of a small business owner. It is amazing how you don't realize the impact something could have until you immerse yourself in it or take the time to learn about it. Although I don't think I want a career in marketing because I'm not too artsy I am gla...
